We are currently looking for a Marketing Manager to join our QFB Family.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish, refine and administer effective communication strategies that are aligned with the Bank’s vision, mission, and business goals. Develop and manage an effective media strategy that generates awareness and enhances brand position including creating a marketing calendar and a communications plan for the organization.
  • External Communication: Act as brand champion and a central authority for the effective use of the corporate identity. Enhance and continue to improve how the organization communicates with its external stakeholders including, shareholders, customers, regulators, suppliers, and media in general, recommend and decide on the selection of the most appropriate third parties including PR agencies/branding & advertising/web developers. Recommend and decide on relative media channels to communicate key corporate messages. Negotiating best rates with media owners, communication partners, event organizers, sponsorships, gifts, and any other third-party suppliers.
  • Plan: Execute internal communication plans to enhance client and employee engagement and understanding of the Bank’s brand, strategy, and objectives, in particular, create and develop a sponsorship/event strategy aligned to the Bank’s brand and communication strategy, evaluate sponsorship/event requests, manage the execution of sponsor ships/events with allocated budgets. Evaluate advertising/sponsorship requests, identify opportunities that are aligned to Bank’s brand and communication strategy.
  • Media: Manage and implement all external channels of communication including, coordinate media interest in the organization and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests; build and manage relationships with key media on the local and regional level. Generate positive media coverage about the bank’s activities and achievements. Write and respond to media queries, draft statements, press releases, articles incorporating key messages and leveraging media opportunities for the Bank’s image.
  • Media channels: Develop and maintain the content of the website and ensure it is kept up to date. Manage the design, content development, and ongoing maintenance of the website, working with external design parties. Work closely with other departments to develop the content of the website. Ensure the content of the website is consistent with other media channels used.
  • Internal Communication: Deliver regular and timely communication to employees through a range of channels, ensuring clarity and consistency of messages to enhance employee engagement and understanding amongst employees of the Bank’s brand, strategy, and objectives. Liaise with other departments to develop suitable content for internal communication tools such as the newsletter and intranet. Establish visual and verbal guidelines to ensure the consistency of internal communication. Develop programs designed to enhance teamwork and recognize employee excellence.
  • Event Management: Create, develop and organize activities/functions for the benefit of the Bank for external and internal stakeholders and employees. In particular, be responsible for activating the new branch/Business Lounge of the Bank with regular events that will strengthen the Bank’s brand and positioning as a signature of excellence and thought leadership in the areas of Private Banking and Private Equity.
  • Progress: Identity, evaluate and recommend new communication opportunities using new media channels in a cost-effective way. Read and research industry trends and issues. Identify appropriate PR opportunities. Implement a system for the measurement of customer and user satisfaction and identify the areas for improvement. Ensure that planned targets are met and report on any positive or negative deviation from the plan on a regular basis. Ensure required reports, audits, checks, and returns are completed for the Department. Work closely with the respective departments of the Bank, to be a conduit for marketing and business development activities.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility & Community Relations: Develop and manage a relevant CSR strategy that is consistent with the bank’s business strategy. Organize community-based events and encourage employee participation.
  1. Manage all shareholder general queries to ensure a quick response time and satisfactory outcomes.
  2. Organize and coordinate the Annual General Meeting.
  3. Manage the Share Exchange Platform incl. Share transfers and subscriptions and meeting with shareholders on-site to respond to instructions and queries.
  4. Manage distribution of share certificates and dividends.
  5. Provide information to shareholders on organization-sponsored public events.
  6. Provide shareholder feedback on the contents of shareholder newsletters and notifications.
  7. Liaise with and be the first point of contact with the applicable regulators in Qatar relating to the Bank’s activities (save for QFC) and especially responsible to manage disclosure of information as dictated by public disclosure rules of the securities and capital market authorities in Qatar.



  • Degree in Communication/Media Relations/Public Relations or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken English language, Arabic is a must
  • Minimum 10 years in corporate communication in a reputable organization.
  • Experience working with senior management.
  • Experience in managing third parties such as PR agencies, advertising, web developers, etc.
  • Experience in coaching and developing subordinates.
  • In-depth understanding of the media scene locally and regionally.
  • Solid understanding of brand development and management.
  • Understanding of corporate governance and compliance issues.
