The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority was formed in 1992 by the merger of Dubai Electricity Company and Dubai Water Department. Sheikh Maktoum Bin Al Rashid Maktoum inaugrated the company with the vision to provide Dubai with a safe and reliable means of Electricity and Water.
