As part of our solutions delivery team, the Applications Specialist is responsible to design, develop, implement, administrate, and support critical business applications. To deliver business-relevant solutions, you will need to be technically proficient and collaborate with vendors and other IT departments.

Your responsibilities include gathering requirements and documenting them for enhancements or projects. You will also analyze systems and create and review functional specifications.

It is expected that you can use the latest technology to help solve business problems. You will also need to improve the maturity and efficiency of internal processes like service management, release management, and reporting.

  • Computer science bachelor’s and master’s degrees
  • Techno-functional certifications desired
  • Minimum of 3 projects per year, with at least 6-8 years of experience.
  • Assisting users in a role of requirements analysis
  • Process mapping basics
  • Extensive experience working with APIs and data sources
  • Capability to design and create solutions that meet business specifications and requirements
  • Work in an agile or hybrid delivery environment and adapt to change

  • Implement projects that have quantified revenue impacts and material operational improvements, by AGI’s overall strategic initiatives


  • You can run a single project on your own
  • To deliver high-quality business solutions, plan and execute the project within the agreed timelines and according to the AGI way framework.
  • Perform scope of deployment assignment, including business analysis, diagnostic activities and design, pilot, and implementation
  • Clear handover at every stage of the business and at closing for sustainability and control.
  • Participate in and give input to decision group meetings/steering commission meetings/workshops for OE and/or representatives from other business areas.
  • Make sure to use your specialist knowledge and/or product experience to ensure that all pertinent information is available for the design and implementation.

People Management

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business.
  • Masters are an asset
  • Certifications for PMP or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalents)
  • Extensive experience in Lean, Organizational Effectiveness, and Change Management.
  • Demonstrates experience in successfully managing at most one transformational project in a Service Operations environment.
  • A results-oriented achiever who can grasp and communicate complex ideas.
  • Communication skills and presentation skills are essential for oral and written communication.
  • Experience in Change Programs, Project Management, and Business Analysis for 3+ years
  • Experience of more than 3 years working on Ops Excellence/Lean/Six Sigma Projects
