Duties

This position acts as the primary liaison between the Embassy of the UAE and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). It engages in a wide range of topics, including visa issuance, accreditation, diplomatic privileges, immunities, etc. The full range of services provided includes application support for US Direct Hire (USDH), Locally Employed Staff, (LES), employees, renewals, deregistration, US Direct Hire Eligible Familie Member (USDH EFM), work permits, driver licenses, inspection, insurance, registration for government-owned vehicles and vehicles (GOVs), as well as registration for personally owned vehicles. As well as providing support for other sections, the General Services Office and Management provide interpreting and translation services. For all communication with the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, (MFA), drafts diplomatic notes in English or Arabic. Offers visa expediting services to VIP officials at the airport. This includes visa assistance support as well as other UAE customs procedures. As a sub cashier and backup timekeeper, the General Services Office (GSO), section. Apart from routine tasks, significant time is spent on complex and sometimes unique cases. These cases require extensive research, analysis and negotiation with counterparts in host countries.

 

 

Qualifications & Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in expediting customer service, dealing with officials of the Government of the United Arab Emirates, or any other administrative experience that deals with rules and regulations of host countries.

Education requirements:

It is necessary to have at least two (2) years of university or college education.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE It may be tested.

Level III Good Working Knowledge in Reading/Writing/Speaking in English is required.

Level IV Fluent in Reading/Writing/Speaking in Arabic is required.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES -

UAE Driver's License is required for Light Motor Vehicle
