Social Worker/Supervisor
Description
Students are supported by the Social Worker who arranges or provides social services to referred students.
Principal Responsibilities
Student Services:
- In accordance with the curriculum and students' life experiences, needs, strengths, diversity and goals, develop long-term and short term intervention plans and performance targets for designated referred students.
- Perform Functional Behavioral Analyses.
- Provide consultations/counseling services to students and their families when necessary.
- Participate in the due process proceedings if necessary.
Students Lateness, Absences and Offenses:
- After calling parents to get the reason, list all lateness or absences of students before the end the first period.
- You must ensure that everyone is present in class, and that classes run smoothly. Also, stop students from arriving late.
- Keep a record of any infractions and notify the SMC if further action is required.
- Inform parents about the school's disciplinary actions.
- If disruptive students are being observed, you can remove them from class and notify the SMC.
- Simple problems can be solved in one day (missing homework, talking in class, etc.).
- For detention, establish an invigilation schedule.
- Detentions should be taken seriously. Before the break, students in detention must be informed.
- To discuss daily offenses and other disciplinary issues, meet with the SMC/AQC on a daily basis.
- Compare the data entries for the day and the content of the discipline sheets.
- Prefects are the last students to leave the classroom at the end. Make sure students line up to board buses and ensure student safety.
- Notice: For further assistance, report serious disciplinary issues involving student offenses to the School Social Worker or Student Life Coordinator.
Teachers/Staff Offenses and Absences
- Report immediately to the School Director teachers
- You are late for the morning and afternoon breaks
- You can leave your classes during class
- Don't teach or you will be asked to leave the class.
- Mark papers/copybooks during class time
- You can use the phone to send SMS messages or call during class
- Shout in class
- Use abusive language
- Neglect classroom cleanliness
- Plan of cover for teachers absent: Get a copy from AQC. Verify that classes are covered by the teachers.
Ideal requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is in Sociology, Psychology, and Social Work.
- Management experience for students
- Students can be disciplined
- Serious demeanor
- Great organizational and planning skills
- Professional conduct and ethical behavior
- Communication skills
- Ability to work in a group
Work requirements:
