Position title
Receiving Clerk

You are responsible for receiving and processing purchase orders. This includes ensuring that no items arrive without authorization. Your role may include the following:

Handle purchase orders in order to make sure that all valid and approved purchase orders, e.g. Purchase requests, market lists, standard supply contracts, and other documents are available.

Make sure that all items are received and inspected. In the case of technical items or furniture, consult the relevant department to verify the quality, specifications, materials, and measurements.

After inspection, transfer items to the concerned department with the assistance of the supplier or the concerned department.

After the check is complete, acknowledge the invoice of the supplier by adding the receipt stamp to the original invoice and the supplier’s copy.

Make sure the invoice is accurate and that the authorization reference number is given.



You will need to have experience in a hotel environment and a degree or diploma in accounting or hotel management. Excellent English communication skills are essential, as well as computer literacy. Knowledge of Opera, Micros and Check SCM is an asset.
