Close the shop by cleaning out all areas and equipment, taking away all reusable items, disassembling them, cleaning and cleaning up, locking refrigerators and restocking, closing doors and locking lights and turning off lights. Establish, stock and maintain work areas. Before using any china, glass or silver, inspect its presentation and cleanliness. Cleanliness is important throughout the day. Follow clean-as-you-go practices.
Follow company safety and security procedures. Report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions immediately to your manager. Complete safety training and certifications. Maintain a professional appearance, confidentiality of company information and protection of company assets. All guests should be acknowledged and welcomed according to company guidelines. Use clear, professional language to communicate with others and use appropriate etiquette when answering phones. Establish and maintain positive working relationships, work with colleagues to achieve common goals, and listen to and respond to employees' concerns. Respect quality standards and expectations. Information in many formats can be read and verified visually (e.g. small print). For a prolonged period of time, stand, sit or walk, or for the entire work day. Without assistance, move, lift, transport, push, pull, or place objects less than 50 pounds. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are required to grasp, turn and manipulate objects of different sizes and weights. You can also move over uneven, slippery, and sloping surfaces, as well as up and downward stairs or service ramps. Reach above and below your knees. Bending, twisting and pulling are all possible.
