Description

The IT Sector of the Operation must be organized according to established procedures and to the highest professional standards. This includes following the instructions given by the management, the group IT director and the software and hard- and software manufacturer. Assumes responsibility for assigned tasks and maintains the confidentiality required. Assists in the administration of the system. Instruction of users regarding new applications. Introduces new users to the system, and signs them in if they are required. Assigns changes to access codes or remove them. Also ensures their confidentiality. Assist guests with internet-related issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • All policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills and managerial skills.
  • All employees must work towards the implementation of the corporate manuals.
  • In all your actions, be consistent with the corporate vision and mission.
  • Assists the Director of Finance and Managing Director in all IT matters.
  • Sets targets and plans for IT matters.
  • Clear IT procedures are established for each user group.
  • Users are provided with technical assistance through coordination.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of IT updates and modifications.
  • Finds areas for improvement in the current system using new soft and hardware.
  • Collaborates with the lead users to evaluate business systems on a regular basis.
  • Documentation of all software development and technical projects is consistent.
  • Prepares and/or assists in the preparation and maintenance of user's operational manuals, including checklists and procedures that users must follow.
  • Continuously monitors, reviews, and evaluates the current configuration.
  • Controls the relationship between the property company and the computer company in relation to maintenance contracts and purchases of supplies.
  • To keep his knowledge up-to-date, he takes courses.
  • Requests for reviews of new applications
  • Coordinates the installation of new hardware, peripherals, and software.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

An associate must:

  • All work-related injuries and OSH incidents should be reported.
  • You must not intentionally or recklessly misuse or interfere with any provided equipment (e.g. Equipment & machinery, PPE, etc.) The Hotel's workplace is to ensure the safety, health, welfare, protection, or management of the workplace.
  • Participate in the execution and planning of OSH-related activities in order to meet the hotel's OSH targets, objectives, and program.
  • Attend all training arranged for Hygiene, Safety & Manager, such as OSH Training, Safety Induction, Tool Box Talks, etc.

 

ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • All OSH concerns should be reported to Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety manager
  • Are you responsible for the safety of his workers and yourself?
  • Report to the Director of Finance

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience as an Assistant IT Manager/IT Manager in a 5-star hotel
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in IT is required; professional certification preferred.
  • General Skills: Team player, positive attitude, hard worker
  • Technical Skills: Sun System, Micros, Opera and Active Directory. Networking, maintenance, budgeting, email-writing skills.
  • Language: English is required to read, write, and speak English. Fluency in other languages is preferred.
  • Physical requirements: You must be able and able to perform physical labor, sustain various movements in the work area, reach up or down, stay stationary at times, and communicate effectively with co-workers and guests to ensure their understanding.
