Organize and coordinate group check-in/pre-registration procedures. Sell a room or accommodation to guests without making reservations. Prevent sold-out situations by identifying how many rooms are already booked; find alternative accommodations for guests who have reservations. Block rooms and identify the required requirements. Perform duplicate reservation checks. Check daily reports/contingency list. Provide information and directions to guests. Answer, record and process guest requests or concerns. Follow up to ensure that each is met to their satisfaction. Arrange transportation for visitors/guests. Issue safe deposit boxes. Secure the bank and count at the beginning and end. Cash guests can process all types of payments, vouchers, paid-outs, charges and change.
Assist the department's management in motivating and coaching employees. Follow company policies and procedures. Report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions immediately to your manager. Ensure that you are professional and clean. Protect company assets. Guests should be welcomed and acknowledged according to company guidelines. Use clear, professional language to communicate with guests; accurately prepare/review written documents; use appropriate etiquette when answering phones. Identify and recommend ways to improve organizational efficiency, productivity and safety. For a prolonged period, you can stand, sit, or move.
