The primary responsibility for the role is to manage guest accounts. This includes receiving and filling out checks, posting, control over safety deposit boxes, mail and information services, cashiering, foreign exchange payments/ settlement of guest account money change, room blocking, inventory, guest check-in, room transfers, and any other guest requirements.
Whenever possible, upsell the hotel to guests.
Keep informed about Citymax hotel policies as they pertain to FO operations and guest services.
Pre-registers and blocks rooms according to reservation requests.
According to established procedures, block rooms are reserved for guests arriving in their place.
Follows through on room-rate-name change changes
Instantly processes all registered cards that have been checked in and creates a folio within the system.
All guest arrivals must be pre-registered.
Double-check the accuracy of pre-registration, allocation of rooms and key jacket.
Every guest is treated with the utmost respect.
Keep the hotel informed about any emergency procedures.
Keep your work area clean and tidy at all times
Weekly inventory checks in the work area. Make requisitions as needed.
Keeps you informed about the system's operation and procedures.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Minimum Diploma in any discipline. Preferably Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management/Course in Hotel Management
Experience in the service/hospitality industry is an asset. 2-3 years of experience in the Front Office would be ideal.
