What will you be doing

The Front Desk Attendant handles all operations in the front office, including handling company outgoing and incoming calls, sending mail, and couriers, and creating time sheets. The job holder acts as the single point of contact for all information and messages.


  • Daily collection and delivery from PO Box, and transfer to the office mail room if assigned
  • Telephone switchboard operator to answer, screen, forward and take messages, provide information, and screen calls
  • Information about the establishment, such as the location and working hours for departments or offices, employees within an organization, and services offered
  • Begin by greeting people at the door, determining their purpose and nature, and directing them to certain destinations.
  • Maintain guest reservation system Send mail with couriers and deliveries, receive, sort and route mail
  • You can manage the mail room by allocating mail space to each department/company
  • Assist staff with keeping track of international calls and faxes so that the accounts department can debit the personnel.
  • Pay attention to the physical location of employees i.e. Out of the office for a meeting, on leave or on business trips, etc.
  • If guests request it, arrange for public transportation
  • Keep up-to-date telephone lists. Perform other clerical duties, such as filing, photocopying and collating
