
The primary responsibility of Purchasing Coordinators is to arrange for the purchase of raw materials, supplies, and services for their employers. Any business that sells physical products needs a Purchasing Coordinator. Many sectors require Purchasing Coordinators, such as manufacturing and textiles, and food production.
Key Accountabilities & Process:
To ensure that critical paths are kept in a timely fashion and production delays are avoided, it is important to receive managed samples.
Assist with the following tasks: Receive all couriers, sign and open all samples, clean up all samples, and take out all boxes for storage at the end of the season.
Discuss product approvals with licensees and brands
Verify timely receipt of any proforma invoices received from suppliers in accordance with the buy plan.
To ensure that all stock arrives in time for the sales plan and stock delivery, follow up on any agreed shipping dates.
Assist new suppliers with the onboarding of Shoemart needs.
Maintain and update the shipment tracker in order to give visibility to goods and highlight any delays or issues to the buyer that could impact sales.
Prioritize the handover to the appropriate department, monitor the status of order production, and help in identifying priorities
To ensure that the order is signed off by finance and buying, compile all orders from each department.
Responsible for all aspects of PLM (product life management)
As requested by the season, prepare sell-off reports with photos
Assist the purchasing team with basic sales data analysis for future range learnings. Prepare data in Excel spreadsheets and keep shared files.
Expertise, Skills and Experience
Education
Graduate/ Master's Degree.
Language
English - Mandatory
Arabic - Beginner/intermediate
Work Experience
Minimum of 03 years of experience
Technology
Basic skills in MS Office, Excel/ MIS, and PPT
Other
Ability to adapt and modify in a changing business environment.
