
The Front Office Clerk assists guests with their check-in, check-out, and audits.
What should I do?
You will be responsible for providing reception services to guests from check-in to check-out. The first impression of guests is made by the receptionist. Therefore, you must complete the following tasks with the highest standard:
- In a timely and efficient way, you can achieve positive results from guest queries
- Ensure a smooth reception experience for guests, including check-in/out and audit procedures.
- Make sure that the Front Office Manager, and Reception Supervisors, are fully informed of any feedback received from guests or other departments.
- At all times, demonstrate a high standard of customer service
- Participate in appropriate training courses and help with the Night Team’s training and development efforts.
- Demonstrate knowledge of hotel rooms, rates, packages, promotions, and other product information necessary to perform daily tasks
- Maximize hotel occupancy and up-sell techniques to promote services and facilities
- Follow the hotel credit policy to accept foreign currency, cash and credit cards.
- Respect all safety and security laws, including fire regulations and hotel security.
- When working with front-of-house equipment or property management systems, it is important to follow policies and procedures.
- Be consistent with company branding
- Assist other departments as needed
